FCM New Woodshop Update(part1)

     Hi they, it a great news for me & some of the followers, I shall setup a mini Wood-shop back at my house, as the clock still ticking on, there still a lots of paperwork need to be done-as my draftsman still doing his part. Even thought, the draft from me via SkecthUp already clear & detail.

      The first mission is to relocate the working area to be in strategic post, since it generate a lot of noise & dust, not suitable for me & all people around. Till right now, there's still no complaint from my neighbor thus for any assemble task, shall be carry out in original place since it just generate minor sound(acceptable)

      As design, the woodshop will be 27' x 13' x height(10') equip with dust collector that shall be create later on. Yup, I can aspect a lot lot think need to done, 1st stage shall be the construction site which I got full fund from my lovely parents & man power support from my Assist. Thanks got my father used to had the experience before in this heavy field, I did have a concept & ideal on bases & the actual step to construct it.

 In the middle of it shall be a new workbench, mainly all the heavy jobs shall be done here, as the design picture it as clean & nice, later on it shall be dirty & mess around- it Ok as it should be like that. The wood stock(frame) shall be install beside of my original wall & might be no enough storage for the plywood.
The good thing I did like about the design was the wood-shop also shall have triple long frame of window so it may help on lighting issue during day time & I shall assemble the light align together with it, as inspired from the Mr Frank Howarth Wood-shop. Thanks for the great ideal.

     And lastly, I shall put some small sticker(hope so) in front of the shop, it a trademark of me & my legacy. As plan I'm gonna setup a great ceremony together with my parent & parent in law in launching this new Kulim State Of Art wood-shop.

Project for this week(An Outdoor Cage-Parents In Law)

          I made a promise to myself, once I want to be a pro work-worker, I shall dedicate my whole life, time & moment for it. Means that there shall no more hanging time as a normal people since the clock keeps counting your step in this field. Every single step shall define your skill up ahead. That why, as I would to impress in this week blog-note, I felt so tired on the past few week, catch & challenge myself on working with my flexibility. Most of the people out they, who thought that I did something extra, which I shouldn't do it as normal guy. As in the promise, I wouldn't regret of what I did.
          Believe me, it took more than an effort to reach this kind of stage & I won't stop till I reach my podium. Even for the last week, I struggled a lot in doing this outdoor project since no experience yet-printed on my batch. I just did some sketch & came out with couple of design(all in simple) so that I could finish it within aspect time-frame. Yes I did it, even there's still a space of the improvement, in terms of skill, design & assembly plan.
          Anyway based on the feedback, I did made both my clients(parents in law) proud of it(as what I heard in phone-hopefully sincerely true from their heart). I did found some lack of design for this outdoor rage, which is the steel net-size were a bit to small & difficult for the drain of machine to be lock in drainage portion, As a solution later, I will cut toward the drain fitting & lock it into the certain angle.
          Yet, it achieved the mission which is to become the real partition between washing machine & it free from the mice & cockroach. Of course, it shall become an extra storage area for this home later on. I did finish it with some triple layer of paint, hopefully it shall provide full-prove protection for the wood, so that it can stand-long the lifespan of the frame.
          In additional request, extra rack for the laundry shall be be add, there's some design had been play around inside of my head, hopefully I could deliver it within next week.

Simple Wood Stock Tray:FCM

It been rainy for this few days, Alhamdulillah. Even it little bits resit my woodworking activity, but I manage to install the spirit that when off lately-once my wife & kids not around for a quite some time(I think, just last week we meet!). Since I still dying to get a private space for all my masterpiece to be run as plan, there's still some vacant/spare area to be park.

Lately I did saw something disturbed my view, a bunch of wood stocks mess all around my working area. It did give some ideal from my neigh-boor that I not easy in management site. Different shape of wood from the previous project I left it in so many area & tray & once new ideal pop-up- I'm gonna use the new one-what a waste.

Thus-toward a better management plan & respect the value of earth(go go go green), I decide to create a special tray that can gather & centralize all wood stock in 1 place, yet all wood arrange in exact class & shape, so that I wont waste the time to find & shape the stock, in additional preserve what is good for the environment.

I manage to create it in half day, most of the material from the recycle wood, I keep the design in open so that it will be lighter & didn't push much load on the roller(since I used such a cheap & low quality roller). I divide it based on recent tray I had, previous used for my gardening project(organic compose-but fail to be)

The original design had been done by my Assist, but it to small to for the recent tray, but because of the 'Go Green Thinking' I wont dump this previous tray, I modified it to be as the storage compartment for any waste wood frame-might be in future shall be useful.

In others hand, my Assist did finish repaint the old cradle-did some mess paint removal & in last minute decide to paint the chair side in pink-what a nice touch,bro! Well done! But it wont be done in just paint, lately I was thinking something a bit huge & extra..I'm gonna upgrade it with some decoration of wood attach on each side of the cradle. Hope it gonna be lovely & special. Only in The Fazlan Craftmaster.

When Dad have a true gift from his talent sonS

      It about dream came true, through the pass of 2 years it only a days pass by, when suddenly I wake him up from the state of temporary heaven. The day he realize he had pause the moments of his life line, forgotten the wise of future that beneath of his dream. Because of me,and I because of him- we did notice something were missing in our life.

My father proudly shown my younger brother 1st Masterpiece.

     Both of our grandpa was an honorable man that culture present family,(even the ending never gonna be same as story line), but it commonly it structure the whole ideal of being talent among of the people around you, never stop by- just a piece of mind-because brain never stop working until god said so.
     The story is just a simple of escape plan for me & him, to be success where most of people around claim us as the most craziest dream ever. In normal-it should be me carry out my present jobs as Sr Engineer(mostly   known as The Mechanic) & him to be realize he did something really really wrong, then in case- he should come out with some contingency plan which A(find the alike to spend course) or B(find a work that suit you place)

The cabinet that was made for my Dr brother turn out to my mother new collection.

     But to in normal it never been a diamond dream for both of our parent, even my honorable grandpa- we should be better, where talent been put in the right gear, I always blame myself of not giving my brother the right place to start his life, it should be pressure under my shoulder. Because of that the heat turn out to on, instead of my parent-which I assume they already done-struggle to made what we are now.

     People gonna said there's no ways you gonna skip the hoop without bend you shoulder, even thought we been force to believe it the real of, some said it was meant to be in that kind of ways-cycle of life. Do we totally believe it? without having a 2nd though in hand of " out of box"? We should be fair & judge our dream & future based on our talent.

     For me, once what duty been put on you, gonna keep you dumb(as intellectualism), mean that you talent gonna be stop. People shall view their talent as part of their life-doesn't had to do with their future, so it just fine. But for me, I do prioritize this thing as something that could change my life. My parent had taught me a lot to clever in academic platform(even I didn't flying color), the thing is, we should clarify our success as the end pass by, like the oldfolk story telling on "Race of Rabbit & Tortoise", we did seen the sense of our life where the good start never gonna ends up as the good ending if....we forgot, never kept up & never learn from our mistake.

     I'm on my mistake, we I didn't do best for my life & future, it time for me to show to the people of what talent can turn you on. As progress so far, we shall in built our own legacy that start here where people gonna see as estblishment of my new family hope-soon Woodshop of The Fazlan Crartmaster.....

SORRY FOR LATE POST: Ainun Japanese Folding Table.

First of all, a warmest apologize to Ainun for this not up to date post on her Japanese table. I keep the whole pic+doc to be comply all together with Raya celebration picture_with her family,since now still didn't get it. On last Ramadan, she request 1 big Japanese table to part of her raya celebration, I made her dream come true. The largest table I've made so far.

2nd Masterpiece of Nazri's Baby Gate

Before Raya, my office mate request me to create a baby for him, to secure his baby to enter kitchen. Previously I did on mine which in design, I just simply attach the hinge into the wall used wall-pluck. But this time is quite different.
Nazri want as regular gate-which had a stopper, easily to remove & change the course of attachment, I excited to finish it, even a bit in-confident at first. The design as below:\

In straight forward, he agree on the design, than the fabrication start immediately after Raya, thanks to the help of my Asst. He been in charge to do the overall design & put it into BOM(bil of material), in 2 days, we success to built it into 1 good piece, but after 1st delivery, we had to modify it again to the length, again some touch up & repaint been done. Also some modification on the lock where long slide lock had been install. My brother did shoot the fabrication on video, plan to be edit & post in Youtube under Fazlan Craftmaster channel, comin soon.

The Fazlan Craftmaster : Now came with Fabrication Schedule

As the order of fabrication were in the tight of dateline, my asst had an ideal to organize it into the real plan, mean I don't have to reject easily on what project that pop up in front of me, than talk & promise based on exact capability.

It shall work as our temp office, where the schedule on the line of fabrication period, task deligation, pending task & future prospect. As updated till down, we gonna be a bit busy this month, just left couple of days to have a nap & pop corn.

Study Table of Japanese Style...Mr Rahman

On last month project, inspire from the Ainun Japanese table, my neighbor ask me to customade  the same old table(lower style) but can be look alike as study table. At first thought-it could be another flexibility of my project, and why not. Thus, I did came out with several ideal that pop up to suit his requirement:

Finally he choice the last one, but remove the upper drawer, the fabrication begin..I thought it gonna simple & quick, there's always a new trick toward my flexibility, I create non-slider drawer(make it as old style), finishing it with formica, but it doesn't work well, I did get those gloss finishing I aspect, ends up I put some stain. Because I didn't have a proper paint area, the dust keep attach on the table surface, that force me to do several polish & repaint(what a frustrated task), it took me a couple of days to satisfied me.

 Finally, I delivery right to the door step, by the help of his owner to carry this heavy table.

 Then finally a delivery right to the door steps, thanks to the owner, Mr Rahman & his son Ashraf  to help me carry out this heavy table. Hope it can be multi-use & provide new interior look to their living room.
